Background overlay delay

Hi There,

Is there a way to delay the overlay appearance. This is my site:

I have delayed the text to appear after 5 secs but I would like the overlay to also appear after 5 secs. Please let me know if there a way to do this

Is your site encountering issues? As I am unable to get the site to load and instead it just hangs?
