Yes I’ve been doing research myself - went right back to basics - tried to upload a file via the standard Add Media tool, it came up with a permissions error. Interesting that what starts with a blank page and then a bunch of path errors is a permissions thing! It must be the way Beaver is coded in terms of how it works with the cache. Could it be a good idea for Beaver to do a permissions check and output that error if the cache file can’t be created?

In the meantime I’ll contact the hosts to see what’s going on, if I can get them to fix media uploading I have a funny feeling that will fix all the permissions errors and it’s easier for them to understand than if I start mentioning Beaver Builder.

Wow, here’s the deal - it was the uploads path in the WP Admin > Settings > Media. It had been set (by some installer script) to an absolute path. I changed this back to the regular wp-content/uploads and suddenly it all works… or seems to!

My feedback from all of this is that Beaver was the only theme that went blank - the others worked fine, even with the upload path being wrong. It would be great if Beaver could do a check and output a friendly error in terms of the path being wrong/no permissions.

Yeah I’m not really sure it’s worth posting this suggestion, more of a minor bit of feedback that won’t be relevant for users to vote on. Hopefully it won’t be ignored though :slight_smile:
