Can't update plugin from WordPress network admin

Happy Holiday!

I get this error when trying to update to version 1.4.2:

An error occurred while updating Beaver Builder Plugin (Agency Version): The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

License key is setup and active on the admin screen.

Thanks
Helms

Hi Helms,

Sometimes the WordPress unzip software gets confused. I actually had this happen to me with another plugin.

Please do the following:

Deactivate the Beaver Builder Plugin
Delete The Beaver Builder Plugin (don’t worry all your settings etc. are safe)
Upload and Activate the Beaver Builder Plugin again.
Re-enter your serial number if necessary.

That should do the trick. If it doesn’t, try downloading the plugin again and repeat the above.

Cheers,

Colin

Hi Colcar,

I did that before on the last update, because it didn’t work from the admin before either. I’m just wondering what the problem is so I don’t have to keep on doing this when there is an update.

Thanks for your help,
Helms

Hey Helms,

My experience with this type error would lead me to investigate the server. If the install fails before you delete the plugin, I suspect it might be a storage problem.

Is it possible that you’re running out of server storage space?

Colin

Hey Colin,

No, all my other plugin updates install fine. Just this one for some reason. I just updated a couple of plugin just now. Storage space isn’t a problem. I’ll update the plugin manually and hope I don’t run into this again on the next update.

Thanks again.
