What’s the easiest way to change the name of my Child Theme and still maintain the customization I’ve made to that Child Theme? If I just change the theme directory and details in the CSS file, it loses my customization. Does this require me to edit the database?
Hey Dustin,
You should be able to just change the Theme Name part on the style.css file and that should be it. You don’t have to change the directory. Is this not the case for you?

Hi Ben. For branding, I want the theme name to be unique to the client. If I just change the style.css the theme directory shows in the source.

Hi Dustin,
You should be able to use the export/import plugin to export the theme settings before you make the change and then import them once the folder name has been changed. I tested this on my end and it worked. The only thing is that it won’t work if you rename the bb-theme folder, it only works with child themes.
