Copying sites and re-inserting photos

Hi Guys,

As part of my process, I build sites out on a sub-domain first, and then when done, I copy the site over to the main live domain.

When I do this, I have to do in and re-insert or redo most of the photos, the logo image, and links because they are direct links (http://www.domain.com/wp-content/mypicture.jpg) instead of relational links (/wp-content/mypicture.jpg). forgive me if direct and relational is not the exact right terms.

So, my question is: is there a way where when I do the copy over (I use managewp) to not have to go through the whole site and correct the links?

I am spending a ton of time going through these manually, and I am hoping their might be something I am missing in my process.

thank you!

Hey Bryan. Thanks for reaching out with your question!

I am not too familiar with the migration process with managewp, but it sounds like you just need to do a search/replace on your database. Beaver Builder stores a lot of data in serialized arrays (in the database), so you’ll need to use a tool to do a search/replace that handles serialized data. We recommend this tool:

WordPress Serialized Search Replace

We have a knowledge base article that goes into a bit more detail here:

Let me know if that helps or if you have any other questions! Thanks!
