Any idea why sometimes the icon in a button does not load?
I verified in the inspect element that the a link indeed has the class: fl-button-icon fl-button-icon-before fa fi-mail

How often does it not load? What do you do to make it load again? What device are you viewing the site on? Is this happening on a single device? Lastly, can you share the URL of the site in question so we can check?
