Image sizes for plain old blog layout

Hi,

What’s the best way to get bigger images here: http://atdemo1.getgointernetcoaching.com/news/

They come out as thumbnails but I’d like them to be medium size.

Thanks

Hey Gerard,

I believe you are setting that as you’re native Blog page(Settings > Reading). I would suggest just creating a new page and using our Posts module to output your Blog posts. That way, you’ll have more control over the elements. You can use the Feeds layout on our Posts module so you get the same layout as the one you currently have.

The way you are doing it leaves WP to generate the elements natively and it uses the thumbnail size which is 150x150 by default. You can change it under Settings > Media but that may be used by other plugins as well. I would suggest giving the method above a shot. Just let us know if you need anything further.

But I ran into the same issue when I tried with the Posts module. No matter what size I used in the settings, it would always put out the 150X150 thumbnail image.

I’ll look at it again this week, it’s ben a very busy weekend, I’m sure I’m missing something simple.

Hey Gerard,

You can set the size of the image when using the Posts module. Check the screenshot below.

But as I said earlier, no matter what size I pick here, I still end up with the 150px image.

I’ll revisit this later, now I have another issue (Maybe related?) See other ticket shortly…

Hey Gerard,

No worries! Let us know how it goes!
