Migration Issue

I recently setup a new site, and I am having issues with all content created with Beaver Builder.
I have exported everything through phpmyadmin and uploaded to the new site location.

http://64.207.183.192/~plaweb/site/

to

http://64.207.183.192/~pointloma/site/

None of the Beaver Builder content transferred…

Not sure why, assumed all content would transfer this way.

Hey Paul,

Sorry to hear! I think you may be missing one really vital step to migrating with BB. Have a look at this article to see if it helps. I’ve also had success using the Better Search and Replace plugin if you want to give that a shot. Let us know how you get on!

Best,
Billy

Hey Billy, thanks for replying. I am not necessarily missing images, but actually all the builds using the Page Builder tool on every page. Does either solution fix this?

Yes, definitely, specifically this explanation:

It’s important to use a serialized search and replace tool when changing URLs in the WordPress database. The reason for that is because many plugins, themes and WordPress itself store arrays and objects in a serialized format which becomes corrupted if you try to do a standard search and replace.

I would suggest trying out the Better Search and Replace option as it’s easier, but totally your call. Let us know how it goes!

Best,
Billy

I tried the Search and Replace tool from interconnectit.com, but I got a few errors that I didn’t feel like troubleshooting.

I have installed BS&R in WP, and did a search for ~plaweb and replaced with ~pointloma.

Cleared the Page Builder cache.

No luck!

Hey Paul,

What error did you get when running the Serialized Search and Replace script? Chances are, the serialization was already broken when you ran the script. Do you mind redoing the DB migration process then run the same script, and take a screenshot of the settings you used as well as the results so we can take a look?

Hey Paul,

It seems there is a PHP Extension/Module not installed on your new server. Have you tried getting in touch with your hosting and see if they can help?

Ben

I will ask Media Temple. Not sure what I need to tell them needs to be enabled / installed.

Hey Paul,

I did a bit of research and it’s possible you’re missing the pdo_mysql module. You could try asking them if that module is active or not.

Ben

Thanks Ben, I will ask them. Appreciate it. Keep you posted.
