Qards vs BeaverBuilder - A head to head UX throwdown.

I will say that one of the users uses squarespace currently and was mentioning things like wanting to drag edges of the columns and rows the most.

Dragging to resize columns is definitely on the roadmap, so that’s good to hear

I have edited some of the css on the current bb to sex it up a bit (less wordpressy) but will there ever be any way (api?) to create our own UI for the builder?

That’s not something that we have planned, but what we could do is give you a way to disable the builder’s UI with a filter. By doing that you would have the ability to build your own UI, but that would certainly be a huge task. If that’s something you really want to do, we can look into it.

However, I do tend to click on items in the BB Add Content area and I’m always surprised when the Content Area closes!

We’ve heard this more than once (including this thread). I have a note to look into making it so when you do click instead of drag, it adds the module to the first available row.

Meanwhile, my love affair with BB grows… and I’m very excited about the new road map!

Good to hear!

You mean a huge task for me or to add the filter?

If it’s not a lot of work to add the filter, I say do it and test it. I don’t mind putting the work in if I think I can tailor it for the user.

Otherwise, if it’s too much trouble for you, then put it in the backlog.

For you  I’m not entirely sure how much work the filter would be, but I can’t imagine much. We would just need it to prevent the loading of BB’s markup. Would you want us to continue to load BB’s UI styles/scripts? Or would you provide your own?
