Shortcode not rendered in Text Editor Module

I’ve edited an old page in the builder and it has been converted to a text editor module.

A shortcode that was well working is not rendered and shown as
[catlist name=categoryname numberposts=-1]
this happens both in PB editing mode and public front end.

Is this an intended behaviour or shortcodes should work in this case?

Hi Alessandro,

They should be working, but we will definitely look into that this week and let you know!

Best,
Billy

Hi Alessandro,

I created a new page with the catlist shortcode, converted it to a builder layout and everything worked. Can you double check your shortcode in text mode? Maybe some HTML tags snuck in around it?

Let me know what you find.

Justin

Hi Justin,
the shortcodes were inside a simple and correctly nested <div class=“accordion”>…</div>.
Removing that solved the issue, but what’s the problem with it?

Thanks as always for your precious support!

Best,
Alessandro

Hi Alessandro,

Thanks for the additional info. I’m not sure what’s going on with that but I’ve made a note to check it out.

Justin

Hey Alessandro,

Let me know if you run into this again. I haven’t been able to recreate it on my end, with or without HTML wrapping the shortcode.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,
I’ve tried again on the same page or creating a new one and wasn’t able to replicate the bug too, not sure what went wrong before, the other plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/ has been updated during the last week, may be that solved the problem.

Thank you,
Alessandro
