Thanks

Also how do i use the blog page template i do not see a way to ad it to the blog page?

Hi Edward,

We are aware of a bug that recently arose with the last update in terms of Woo. We’ll be releasing an update today to fix that up so make sure to check for an update a bit later today.

Re. the blog template, there is a standard WordPress blog template which adds a sidebar that isn’t editable by Beaver Builder, but you are also welcome to create your own blog page using Beaver Builder. In that case, you would just need to set the posts page to whichever page you create for the blog in the reading settings.

Best,
Billy

Edward,

I was a bit hasty on my response as your issue is different. Would you mind sending me temp login to your site so I can check out why the page title is replicated?

Best,
Billy

Hi Edward,

Thanks, I was able to login and access that page. It appears you are using Woo’s default shop page there. If you would like to use BB to create a products page, I would suggest not using their auto generated shop page as it isn’t editable by BB due to Woo’s generated page HTML. What you can do so you have control over the layout is create a new page and just insert WooCommerce modules so that you can configure the layout as you wish.

On your blog question, the page template you’ll want to use is called sidebar. You can elect that page template while in the editor on your blog page.

Let us know if we can help further.

Best,
Billy

Still having a problem i set my news/blog page to sidebar and i can still not use BB it just pops up the page so it will not let me pick a blog page template. I must still be doing something wrong…

Also i am not using the woo default page i am using a page i made called Destin DJ Packages??

Hey Edward,

I see what is going on here. In the WooCommerce settings > products > display, you are electing that Destin DJ Packages page to be the Woo shop page. You should remove that page from that setting and then you’ll be able to do whatever you like using the page builder including having your own heading, products using the WooCommerce module, etc. On the blog, under settings > reading, the posts page is set to News/Blog which will automatically use WP’s native blog page. BB doesn’t have the ability to edit that default page so you would need to set that to “select” again and then go to your News/Blog page. You should then be able to apply the sidebar template and start using BB to add a posts module and whatever else you like. Let me know if that helps!

Best,
Billy

Almost dome with this site looking good

Thanks

One other problem i see now… also on the blog page when i click on a blog post image it takes me to the home page not the blog post page for that item same thing happens when i click on the read more text i am using it will go to the home page not the post page for that item. So it has no way to go to the full post page for any blog post item?

Hi Edward,

I fixed up the blog, had to switch the page template back to default in order for it to work as it should. On that post, you had the URL/title the same as one of your pages so you’ll notice that I added a ‘2’ in the blog post URL to test that. You are welcome to change the URL to whatever you like, just make sure it isn’t the same as another page in your site. I also enabled the sidebar for you on individual posts via the theme customizer so you can have a sidebar. If you would like a sidebar for the actual blog page, you can drag that out using the page builder and configure from there. You should be good to go, but let me know if anything else is needed.

Best,
Billy

Ok thanks i see it is fixed now… Still working on SEO on it now and adding posts.

I just added in a few sidebar items and made the blog area wider to fit 2 by side look better… Looking good

Thanks for the help

No worries at all Edward, glad we could help!
