I have create a new inside page template but needed to tweak the padding. I cannot edit the template as it throws a 404 error when trying from either front or backend. Same for trying to edit globals.
I found one thread where someone mentioned the same issue and the recommendation was to look to see if they had write permissions. I checked the cache folder permissions and it does have it.

What permalink setting do you have your site set to? Try using the Post Name setting and see if it makes a difference. If it doesn’t, we may need temp admin access to your site so we can check further. You can post it here using the private reply option found below.
I tried going over to the Templates admin and tried editing each one and was able to. Could you try clearing the BB cache as well as the caching plugin if you have one installed? Also try doing a hard refresh on your browser and see if it makes a difference.
