Access to functions.php through wordpress admin?

I’ve been trying to locate the functions.php file and going round in circles. I know where it should be but how do I get access to it through the WP admin with beaver builder theme installed?

Is the only option through FTP?

If the core WordPress theme file editor is not there under Apearance menu there could be a few reasons.

  • You have disabled it via a plugin some security plugins do this.
  • You are on a multisite installation and are not logged in as the network super admin
  • Your host has disabled the file editor
