Thanks for getting in touch! You would need to do that with custom CSS as that ability isn’t available in the theme. That’s great feedback in having the ability to add your own icons in the theme. Feel free to add that to our User Voice forum if you would like us to take a look at that in the future!
In the meantime, if creating some custom CSS for that doing a bit of inspecting isn’t quite what you are after, you may want to look into a tool like CSS Hero or Microthemer. These tools allow you to target specific elements in a website and style them in an easy interface.
