Autoplay YouTube video w/ mute

Hi all,

I am trying to embed either an iframe YouTube or a mp4 video background using beaver. I’d like it to autoplay but muted with audio controls. For whatever reason this is proving difficult to do via whichever method I try.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make this work? Kind of at the end of my rope here…

Hey Sara,

You’ll need to set specific settings on wherever the video is hosted. For example, YouTube has specific settings you can configure which will be honored when BB outputs the video. Autoplay can be set within the Video module if that helps. Let us know if we can assist further!

Just getting back over to this. Yes, I can autoplay with YouTube but can’t mute. Is there something else you’d suggest?

Hey Sara,

Just wanted to chime in here. How are you trying to use a YouTube video as a background? If you place a video background on a BB row, it is automatically muted. But you can only use videos uploaded to your server, no option for a YouTube video.
