Background images have stopped showing

Hi guys,

I’m having some problems with my BB theme & plugin -powered sites today which I think is down to a hosting issue.

That’s rare as I’m with WPEngine, and their support team are trying to get to the bottom of it now.

I’d be really grateful if you could take a look at this video of the issue and let me know if you have any ideas as to what’s gone wrong?

Basically the background images on a number of rows are visible in the front end editor, but when you publish the changes they disappear.

Here’s a video I made for WPEngine as they weren’t sure what was missing, if you turn your sound up you’ll hear me explaining the problem to them:

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Lee

WPEngine now think it’s a domain mapping issue, will update when I get more from them!

Hey Lee,

Yes, domain mapping was what I meant when I said ‘special setup’. I never really had any experiences with those and I think I heard you mention it on the video(sorry, it wasn’t really clear). Anyway, I just checked the site again and the background is now being loaded from http://inbound.works/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2015/05/London-Background.jpg so I assume the issue is fixed?

Ben

Hi Ben,

Really appreciate your support with this. Your spot made them investigate the domain mapping setup which was wrong, and preventing a number of things from working including BB.

There was no problem with BB itself at all, and yes it’s fixed now. I’ve learned that subfolders are a lot easier in some ways than subdirectories for a WP Multisite install, but I think I’d rather have the 12 hours back and stay ignorant!

Thanks again, still loving BB

Hey Lee,

No worries and that’s really great to hear! Unfortunately, I’ve little to no experience regarding Multisite installs so I can’t have a say regarding that matter. I’ve been planning on checking it out but the number of hours in a day and days in a week just isn’t enough! Anyway, have fun with The Beaver!

Ben

I know that feeling!

Another cheeky question for you…I’m trying to cover my macbook air with stickers from the WordPress and digital marketing services I use.

Is there any chance of getting my begging little hands on a Beaver Builder sticker like the ones on the homepage of your site?

So far I only have ProductHunt, Nusii and Google Partners and I’d love a little Beaver!

Thanks,
Lee

Hey Lee,

I’ll get the guys in on this thread for that matter

Ben
