Hi All,

I’m having trouble getting YouTube videos to autoplay as an embedded background video in a slider slide. I’m also having trouble getting them to appear correctly when selecting the ‘text & video’ option in the slider.

Embedded background Video: Problem is that it ignores my preset slider height and width, despite changing in the embed code.

Text & Video: The youtube content doesnt appear at all sometimes. When it does, it ignores my setting to not display the controls and also ignores my setting to enable autoplay.

You can see on the staging site, i’ve been able to successfully use a bg video in the lower content but this is through the Row module using a self-hosted video. The video module for this only seems to accept .mp4. I tried using .m4v and it did not play.

Would appreciate your thoughts!

Hey Craig,

Re embedded background video on the content slider, the height setting for the content slider indicates the minimum height, not max, so it adjusts depending on the content. There’s actually a bit of a problem when selecting the video background, the content doesn’t appear. I’ll issue a bug report for this.

I’ve played around with the Text & Video option and everything seems to be working fine. The controls aren’t there, it autoplays after the page loads though, not when the slide is in place. Which slide do you have the Text & Video on?
