I am using the agency theme and am trying to replace the background video on the home page. My video uploads but doesn’t show up. What is the best format and file size for a background video?

Thanks for getting in touch! What’s the format of the video you uploaded? I personally don’t recommend uploading a video on your own webserver. I prefer to upload it via Youtube or Vimeo then embed it.

I can see the 3 videos on the Media Library but none of them can play even when on the attachment pages. It’s quite possible that the upload failed or your hosting doesn’t allow these kinds of files, not really sure. I suggest uploading the videos again and if it still doesn’t work, get in touch with your hosting and see if they can do something about it.

If I put the video in and it doesn’t work, how can I get the video on the template back again? The only way I know how to do it is to select the template again but then I lose all my work.

Sorry to say but that would be the only way around it. What you can do is, you can append that template with the video background you like. Delete all the other stuff on there and rearrange. Maybe even delete the columns in that row and replace it with your columns.
