Given BuddyPress, along with BBPress all come from the WP family, Was hoping to find more on the subject of integration and styling of these popular plugins. I’ve gone through all things BuddyPress on the forums before starting work on integrating this WP plugin. While the forum has many posts on subject, the posts are a bit circuitous with other workarounds/plugins and private messages interspersed. Not able to make sense of it.
I guess i’m asking WPBeaverBuilder for some higher level help/documentation on some of the more popular plugin products. Heading down someones problematic rabbit trail is not always a best practice for getting started. While I realize you are helping put out fires all day long in addition to development, I have to ask if at some point putting together some how-to docs related to these might save on some support tickets in the future and provide a broader audience some self help.
I believe BuddyPress, BBpress and WPGeodirectory are all complex and deserving of some attention. In the meantime we’re going to have to do support tickets and hope you guys don’t get crushed.
Thanks again for the detailed info. The reason we don’t have documentation on styling BuddyPress, BBPress, or WPGeodirectory is because Beaver Builder isn’t intended to style them. They should inherit styling from the theme, but beyond that, support for customizations on those products will have to come from their respective sites.
If there is a specific conflict/issue you are having, I’d be happy to take a look. Just let me know.
I thought I would take a look at your BuddyPress styling issue whilst you wait on Justin to look into further.
I have looked at you BuddyPress groups and member pages and I am not seeing any styling issue or broken rows, columns or sidebars. Can you provide a link to a page where this is happening so we can take a closer look, please?
Thanks for the clarification. I had a look at all of the GD/BB pages and noticed that some of them didn’t have content. The ones that did seemed fined, but did have some odd styling issues.
Is that what’s going on? If so, can you let me know the specifics? That will make it much easier to diagnose.
I did disable the Beaver Builder plugin and got the same results.
I also activated the Twenty Sixteen theme and things seemed mostly the same.
Beaver Builder is basically a Bootstrap theme with some customization options. Is it possible that GD isn’t compatible with Bootstrap?
Let me know what any specific issues are, whether styling or JS errors, and I’ll have a look at them.
