BB Pro plugin activated, but not running

Please Help::
I installed BB Plugin Version 1.7.5 on a site that was made with a custom built Theme.
The site runs fine with it’s custom theme, but:

  • When I “Visit Site”, The black bar at the top of the screen is not present at all.
It’s as if I am no longer logged in.
  • When I edit a page with the WP editor, there is no “Page Builder” tab above the edit page.

I’ve tried

  • deactivating other plugins, and nothing changes.
  • I’ve tried activating other themes, and no beharior changes except the customization of the pages (no debug bar, no Page Builder).
  • Both Paage Builder Editing Settings are “edit_posts” - which works fine on other sites.

Is there something the custom theme put in the database that prevents the debug bar and Page Builder from running?

Help. How can I get Page Builder working? I can give you a user/password if you need to see the site at dev.concordwebbuilders.com
Thanks in advance,
TomR

Hey Tom,

Feel free to share temp admin access to your site so we can check. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

[Content Hidden]

Also, when I open the Home page in the WP editor, there is not content (visual or text), but if I click view page from there, all the content appears properly.

Tom

Hey Tom,

You had the setting Show Toolbar when viewing site unchecked under Users > Profile and is what’s causing the admin bar to be hidden. I have checked this for you and verified it’s working on the frontend.

I checked the native WP editor on a few pages of your site, probably about 10, and all of them had the Page Builder tab on the top. Is there a specific page you want me to check?

Not really sure about the users issue, the BB plugin does not mess with that part of WP. You may try deactivating all plugins or switch to a different theme and see if that fixes it.

The content are on the homepage, you can see it when you scroll down the native WP editor. I guess that’s how your theme works.

Hope this helps!

Ben

Thank You So Much Ben. That helps tremendously. I never knew abou the Show Toolbar before, and because I couldn’t add myself as a new user, the existing one had that profile feature unchecked.

I can now edit all the content that is not controlled by the four “Advanced Custom Fields” plugins:
The site uses ACF / ACF: Flexible Content Fields / ACF: Options Page / ACF: Repeater Field

Is there a way to edit those fields within Page Builder? Copy and paste would be a bit tedious to get content out of ACF control.

Hi Tom,

Unfortunately, there is no way to edit those fields within Beaver Builder. :frowning:

Thanks,
Danny

OK. Thanks for the info.
Tom

No worries at all, Tom. Glad we could help.
