Beaver Builder Plugin not working anymore

Hi,

I’ve been working on a website for a few days now. Everything went smooth, no problems at all. Until 60 minutes ago. Suddenly I can’t place a photo anymore. I can upload it and select it, but it just won’t show the picture. I changed nothing except for media files not being saved in a folder with date. Changed that back already but it doesn’t make a different.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello Robert,

I just tried adding an image on that page and it seems to work fine(pardon the image, it is pretty large but that is the only pic I had on this machine without my face on it). Is it still happening from your end?

Ben

Hi Ben,

My bad, somehow it’s related to the image I wanted to use. I renamed it and now it’s working. Strange…

Thank you for your fast support!

Well, the issue seems bigger. Sometimes the loader goes infinite at me, I can’t edit some boxes, can’t publish… http://www.seniorenbron.nl/adwords/. Can’t edit/delete the bottom text field for example.

Just happens out of the blue today. Rather annoying.

If a mod is going to help me, please play around for a few minutes on this page and you will find out what I mean.

Hey Robert,

I’d just like to inform you ahead of time that I will be playing around the site but I am currently experiencing issues visiting it. I keep getting the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error. Do you usually host your sites with this provider? I’m thinking the server itself is having issues since I was able to visit the site just fine a while ago.

Ben

Hey Ben, sorry to hear that. I do use this host more often for ((BB) sites I have already running online. New ones don’t go there anymore though.

Thee time-out must be over by now.

About plying with the site, be my guest. But the current biggest problem is on this page http://www.seniorenbron.nl/adwords/. The text in the bottom can’t be edited or even removed for example.

Hey Robert,

Still nothing from my end, I keep getting connection timeouts. Could you open your console and see if you get the same thing while on the page builder? You can just hit F12 then go to Console on Chrome.

Ben

Hey Ben,

That’s so strange. maybe a block for US users? Can’t imagine though.

I have no time-outs http://imgur.com/BwFKHir

Robert

Hello Robert,

The timeouts seem to have stopped and I finally got to play around the site. The text on the most bottom part, went outside the fl-builder class which is why the page builder can no longer pick it up. I have no idea why that happened but it’s most likely a corrupted entry to the database, probably when the site was acting weird earlier. Could you try recreating that page and see if you get the same issue?

Ben

Hi Ben,

I gave myself and Beaver Builder a good night rest. Started fresh this morning recreating the page and it looks like all problems are solved. So I’ll be building like a beaver today!

Have a nice day and thank your for helping out so fast!

Robert

Hi Ben,

Too bad. Still not working. Right now I’m trying to add icons. Then the loader appears and it keeps loading. I created a new page (same name). Checked for console errors, there are none.

Robert

Hey Robert,

Sorry to hear that. Do you happen to know your site’s PHP memory limit? Chances are it is set too low causing those problems. You can try increasing the limit and see how it goes. Check Increasing memory allocated to PHP from the codex.

Hope this helps.

Ben

I upgraded the php.ini to 128m instead of something around 50. Still no luck.

Robert

Hey Robert,

Are you using the latest version of BB? Could you try reinstalling the BB plugin? Also, could you try using just BB for now, disabling all other plugins and see if you get the same issue? One more thing, we need to make sure the php.ini change you did is reflected to the site. Would it be possible for you to place a phpinfo.php file on your site? Furthermore, is it possible to ask for FTP credentials? This is sounding more like a server issue now.

Hey Robert,

Thank you for all those information. I’ve already assigned someone from the team to take a look at your site. This is most likely caused by your server already.

Ben

Hi Robert,

I tested this as well without any issues. Can you let me know the exact actions you took before the hang occurred?

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Robert,

I’m just checking in to see if you are still experiencing this issue.

Thanks!
Justin

Hi Justin,

The issue disappeared just as suddenly as it came. So all is fine now. Thanks for checking!

Don’t have the issue on other bb installs btw.

Robert
