Best image proportions to show full width?

Hi,
If I want images to show full width - what is the recommended size of the image?

I want to do something similar to https://www.thenewhuman.com/

(I have Beaver Builder theme with PageBuilder plugin.)

Hey Bosse,

I would suggest using an image with a width of 1920px. You can read the article below for more info though.

If I use a picture that’s even wider than 1920 - will the theme/plugin resize it as appropriate, or will it mean longer loading time?

Hey Bosse,

Both are correct, the image will be resized via CSS but it will still load the entire image file, increasing the loading time.
