My first post in the forum. New to Beaver Builder.
I want to create a totally blank page on my site https://yourmildura.com/
The aim then is to create a mini site business listing for local businesses
Here is an example of what I am talking about http://yourmildura.com/chef-dag-demarkow/
That one was created using a leadpages template
To what extent can you modify or remove the existing genesis theme layout
I am using the genesis theme

Are you using the bare Genesis theme? Or are you using a child theme? Does it not have a landing page template like what Rod said? I do apologize, we’re not really well versed with Genesis themes. Feel free to ask the same question over to the BB FB Group and/or Slack Channel. We’ve a lot of active users there which are very acquainted with Genesis.
Our BB theme that comes with the pro package offers a No Header/Footer page template. This allows you to design the entirety of the page using just the page builder.

I am now creating my new landing page.
I want a photo as a background and then a text headline on the photo and also a clickable “Get More Info” button also on the photo
How do I do this please?

You can use an image as a background for the row. Just drag the 1 column layout on the right hand side, change the settings to it uses a background image. Once done, you can drag the Text Editor module or the Heading module to the row, place the contents, and style it using the module settings. You can then drag the Button module to add the button at the bottom, style using the module settings.
