cannot edit certain pages in page builder mode- blank screen - site launch soon!

I’m having serious problems editing a few pages in the page builder editor. I can see the pages in the back end and are live, but when I go to edit them I get a blank screen and the content is not rendering. I’m not sure why it is for these particular pages. I’ve set up an admin user account & ftp access so you can look at the neccessary files. I think there was a recent update of the plugin on my site - plus a colleague (not a wordpress admin person) has edited the pages (for basic ammends). We also get the problem of if they (admin) click on the default editor then all the layout by your plugin goes. As I cannot get the page builder pages to render it has stayed as an unformated page. Is there a way to lock-down this in any so they cannot affect layout / pages built using the plugin?

You will need to firstly access the site past the coming soon url - if one of your team can get back to me on a private thread or email I will give access url the the pages that are the issue and the admin account log-in details as well as the ftp details - WE ARE MEANT TO LAUNCH THE SITE TOMMOROW EVENING PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ASAP - OR LET ME KNOW THE EXPECT RESPONSE/ACTION TIME.

Hi Darron,
have you tried to disable other plugins to see if someone is conflicting with BB?
I had a problem with similar symptoms in the past and the culprit was WP-minify: while minimizing JS it was introducing unwanted new lines in BB scripts that broke my site.
The guys here pushed a patch in a few days to workaround the problem, while I switched to another minification plugin in the mean time.

Alessandro

Hey Darron,

Sorry to hear about the issues, but we’ll get it figured out for you! As Alessandro mentions, the first plan of attack would be to disable all of your plugins and reactivate one by one while testing BB to see if that may be a plugin conflict. Please go ahead and start there and let me know what you find.

Best,
Billy

it’s only been recently that I’ve had the issue - with no additional plugins - and it’s not all pages and new ones are ok. So there is a sequence of things that must throw up some issue - as someone I’d shown how to use the builder to change somen text had worked on those pages. I feel that the way you save and exit the session of editing (the delay and confusion, of is it saved) may mean that someone takes an action and it seems to break or corrupt the page (well from an editing point of view). Bit of a mystery, but I think that it could happen more frequently if we have more users having to edit pages.

Hey Darron,

Ok, can you provide the below info that you mentioned earlier when you get a chance? I’ll login and take a look to see what might be happening there.

I will give access url the the pages that are the issue and the admin account log-in details as well as the ftp details

Billy

Now I’ve got this error creating a new page from scratch - it was working fine up until I finished the page. How can I solve this issue of memory - is it a hosting issue or can I change any settings in wordpress or my c-panel.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 76 bytes) in /var/sites/f/firestarterpeople.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bb-plugin/classes/class-fl-builder-model.php on line 1998

need to get some help on this as I’m running out of time and ideas on how I can fix this in the short-term and to make sure it is stable. Any ideas

Hey Darron,

Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but following your login steps still doesn’t allow me to login? I’m close to being locked out in attempts. :frowning:

Re. the memory issue, on most web hosts, this is a pretty simple fix. You can checkout this article for reference on that: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP.

Let me know when you can on logging in, we’re all here and can get in to troubleshoot this asap!

Billy
