With both BB 1.6.4.7 and 1.7 the same happens, not always, but most often:
After I’ve added a OIO widget, a warning message shows up: “Do you really want to leave the page?” (screenshot 1) Of course not, so I click No 1-3 times. Then, when I try to save, one of the ads in the widget (3 ads in total) remains on the screen, the wait wheel spins (screenshot 2) - and nothing is saved. I’ve tried some workarounds, and the only working is not to use the OIO widget, but instead a OIO javascript code <script type=“text/javascript” src=“http://dolcevita.no/wp-content/plugins/oiopub-direct/js.php#type=banner&align=center&zone=2”></script>
in a HTML module.
But…
The ads don’t always show up.
And also, if I place the HTML module in a row and save the row as a global template, it triggers some weired behaviour - much liek described here: http://forum.wpbeaverbuilder.com/support/q/cant-edit-pages/
In short: If I try to edit the template, it opens a new browser tab with a “Page not found”.
So, I deactivated all plugins (exept BB) - and it all worked fine.
But, after reactivating the plugins one by one, it still works. It’s just not stable. The ads don’t always show up, or they may show up after a while - and if I click a global (oio row) template, the template might open as it should but display nothing. It appears empty.
What do you think? If I would need to use some other ad management tool, do you recommend any one in particular?
Thanks,
Kjetil

Unfortunately, I do believe this is likely an issue with the script rather than BB. I think the best course of action is to contact IOI support and see if they can get their developers to review the issue.
It could well be related to how they’re loading their scripts via the admin_enqueue_script. As BB is a front-end builder, we would need the scripts to be loaded on the front-end. If the widget is using admin_enqueue_script this could be the cause of the issue.
Please, keep us posted on what their developers suggest.
Thanks, Danny - quick as always - great!
That’s totally ok, it narrows down where to look for the solution.
In case it won’t really work: Do you recommend some (premium) ad system in particular?
Kjetil
Thanks, Danny
Actually I had found one of those lists myself (the first, with OIO on the top…), I just wondered if you knew some plugin as well-working an without issues combined with BB.
I’ll check out with the guys at OIO. They’re also thorough, - just not quite as quick as you :o)
It turns out that the important thing is which ad scripts (like… for booking.com) are combined with what kind of OIO script (a javascript kind rather than a php kind) in which module (just the HTML). With this in place it works, it just lags a bit when working front-end.
Cheers,
Kjetil
I don’t have any experience with ad plugins unfortunately. So I honestly, can recommend one. However, I seeing as IOI is recommended on both articles, I think be best course of action is for you to contact them and see what they suggest.
