when trying to re-size an image through the wordpress admin, it gets trumped by a these styles ( width: auto !important; and height: auto !important; ) applied to all images containing this string in their class “wp-image-”. Wouldn’t a simple max-width: 100%; and height: auto; suffice?
Hey Mark,
I had thought we needed !important to override the inline styles, but it looks like your suggestion works and keeps the images responsive. I’ll make sure to get this change out in the next release.
Thanks!
Justin
Justin,
Thanks so much for the quick response. I'll look for this in the release notes as you update the plugin.

I have the same problem. When I try to resize images in Wordpress they get back to the original size. The only way now to have custom size is by doing it out of Wordpress. Looking forward to the update.
Hey Bart,
Are you on the latest version of the theme (1.2.7)? If so and you’re still seeing the issue, you may need to refresh the CSS by opening the Customizer, changing a setting (you can change it back, just need to do that to trigger the save button) and then clicking save. I just tested and the fix we implemented for this is working. Let me know.

Hi there - I’m all up to date on the theme and plugin, and I still can’t get any custom image sizes to work either. Any thoughts?
Hi Ry,
Can you send me a link to a post with this issue? I tested on my site and can resize images so I’m not sure what the issue is yet. Thanks!
Justin
Sure. Here’s one http://rypepper.com/starting-over-soon/
If I choose custom size, it doesn’t update the image size at all. It stays as the original size.
Thanks, Ry. Can you tell me how you are choosing a custom size? Are you using the drag resize handles? Or are you editing it with the pencil icon to change the size?
Neither way works for me.
Could you send over temporary login info to test? Thanks!

Thanks! But the login info doesn’t work. Can you double check?

Hi Ry,
I’m not sure, but it might be a WordPress bug you’re experiencing. I just logged in and was able to resize that image by selecting a different size and using the drag handles. What browser/os are you using?
Thanks,
Justin
So weird… it suddenly works. Thanks so much for checking on it!
Good to hear! You’re welcome!
