Can't save because ... THE SERVER IS A TEAPOT?

I’m trying to edit some text in a Text Editor module. Nothing fancy, two paragraphs.

When I try to save, I get an error dialog (attached) saying that something has triggered a 418 error. It includes a link to a page that references 403 errors, doesn’t mention 418, and doesn’t include a fix my problem. Upon dismissing the dialog, the text module is frozen; saving the page, or reloading, ditches my edits.

In case you don’t recognize 418: This error is “I’m a teapot”. It was included in the HTTP specs as a joke.

Can anyone help me fix this?

Bonus points if you can give me a reason to keep using Beaver Builder after this. It’s bad enough that I’m running into errors… but a 418 is just adding insult to injury. Seriously, I’ve had it with this crap.

It isnt BeaverBuilder.

Your host has a mod security enabled … by default when it detects something bad it should throw a 403 error but your host being the comedians they are changed its config to throw a 418 because they thought it would be funny, from memory I think it was dreamhost?

Anyway under the advanced settings is a setting to help get around it.
