Change from 2 columns to 3 columns once module is added to 2 columns?

Hi, We have a scenario on a site we have started building where the digital strategist at work has asked me to change one of the rows that has content modules placed in a 2 column layout to say 3 columns. Same like my other thread where I can not change the settings of the columns.

Where can I find a button where I can simply adjust the row I have from 2 columns to 3 columns? Again this would be a bit time consuming if I have to now add a new set 3 of columns, then now add my classes that I had on my 2 column and then the font colours etc to the new 3 column.

Is there something I am missing here? I simply wish to keep the column settings that I have already done, but change it to 3 columns. Is this the similar issue I am having with column settings not being available like my other thread once content is added to the column?

Hey Peter! We actually just released a UI update that allows you to add columns to an existing row. Before 1.6.4, you would have to drag out a new column layout from the sidebar and transfer your module/column settings. It wasn’t ideal. After updating to 1.6.4, though, you’ll see a new set of column options—including the option to add new columns!

Thank you Robby, when was that update? I have only installed BB on Wednesday.2 and i did not see any option for doing this.

Hi Peter,
When you click the column settings for a column (icon that is two columns), instead of going into the settings immediately there is drop down selection, which includes ‘Insert column before’ & ‘insert column after’.
If you purchased BB on Wednesday, pretty sure you would have 1.6.4 - but check in your plugins page to be sure.

Hi Dave

Thank you very much for that, I actually understood this as to place a full column above the column set that was on the row. Pretty happy with that now. Any way you can fix the UI of this dropdown. It is pretty pedestrian not looking as good as the rest of the UI.

I have tested and can confidently mark this as resolved please.

Sorry, that was meant to be a question about the drop down UI. Would love to see it match the sidebar UI dropdown. I feel the blue is a real sore thumb in the builder since the rest of the UI is quite elegant / clean.

Thank you once again. Closing this out.

Thanks for the feedback, Peter. We’ll keep it in mind!
