I’m not sure what is causing the following but thought I’d share.
On 2 separate sites I’ve had the same problem. After using Chrome for a couple of hours on a site, for some reason when I’ve gone to save/publish from BB builder, the page doesn’t fully reload. At the bottom of the page. It says: “Procesing request…” and continues trying to load page. It seems that images are not fully loading. It is currently saying this and it’s been 10 minutes.
This only seems to be the issue when logged into site.
Yesterday I had to go to Firefox to continue working on page.
Today I went to Firefox, but got a jquery unresponsive script warning.
Is this happening on the same page or just about any page that you visit? Do you have any content on those pages from 3rd party plugins or external sources? Do the pages have a lot of content? Sorry for all these questions but it’s kinda hard to determine what causes these issues. I did encounter those kinds of problems before I upgraded my computer so that could be an issue as well.
Yes there are other plugins only one other on each site - both were image or content based plugins. However, they were different on each site. The only constant being BB plugin. I have never had this issue before. I just checked and only one site is using the latest BB version. The other is 1.6.0.3
They were 1 page home pages - I don’t necessarily think it’s a lot of content (but others might think so). I usually use Firefox (not Chrome) so if this was an issue previously, I would not have known. 30 minutes later it is still saying processing request… on Chrome even after a refresh.
I’m using OS X Mavericks - 10.9.5
Chrome: Version 44.0.2403.125 (64-bit)
I’m not saying this is happening because of BB plugin as I don’t know what is causing this, but thought it was something I should contact you about.
On one site using latest BB version - I have deactivated the slider plugin that was used on site (Layerslider) - refreshed, emptied cache and purged varnish - but still same issue.
I have created another tab and loaded the page and it loads fine.
However the actual refreshed page will not load - still saying processing request…
So not sure what caused this.
Let me outline the steps again:
Working inside BB plugin.
Take a phone call for 10 minutes - so BB plugin still open
Come back and make some more change > save
Goes into the processing request… not loading page.
Yesterday the BB plugin was open for a while before saving and the same thing happened.
I usually make changes and save/publish quite frequently (i.e. not 10 minutes between opening Page Builder & publish changes.
I do experience that most of the time, where a tab keeps on loading a page but opening the same page on another one isn’t a problem. I frequently surf the web and it’s been happening all over the place, no specific website. I figured it was just the browser crashing. I do have BB pages opened up on a few of my tabs while working but I never experienced that same problem though. You can always send temp admin access to your site if you want us to take a closer look.
