I’ve just checked with my team and it looks like we’ve already issued a bug report for this. I apologize for the inconvenience and thanks for the heads up! Let us know if you need anything further.
Sorry, not really sure how I missed your last reply. Okay, so our Color Picker is based on the same library WP Core uses. Can you go ahead and switch to one of those free TwentyX themes, head over to the Theme Customizer, open up a Color Picker and see if you experience the same issue?
It’s not the Theme where I’m experiencing this. It’s the plugin.
Had this issue ever since the update that changed the colour picker to support the saved colour paletes.
Reason I asked you to check if you’re having the same issue on the customizer is to verify if the problem is coming from our plugin’s forked code, or the Color Picker in general.
OK I just installed 2015 theme and tested the customizer again.
As expected there were no dramas.
The Customizer for both BB-theme and twentyfifteen theme are using the stock Wordpress color picker.
It’s a HSB picker that has a square window with the hue, and a slider on the right for saturation & brightness. It’s great! You can see exactly what colour you need to pick, and then refine it further.
In the plugin, they changed it to a ‘S-BH’ color picker. I don’t know if it’s a forked version of core, or what - but it’s less intuitive because you have to pick the colour just by using a tiny slider on the bottom, and then have a massive window to refine just the brightness.
The bug as shown in the gif at the top shows that when you click, it’s not remembering the hue selection, it defaults back to the red hue. Even though it should be adjusting brightness of the aqua.
