Column Background Color

I have a site in another theme I’m trying to convert to BB.

I have a row with a hero image with two columns that sit on top.

I’d like to give one column a background color to make the heading, button and text in that column “pop” and easier to read. This is how it looks on my other theme and what I’m trying to accomplish: http://i.imgur.com/tvwnkZ9.png

I’ve searched and found a bunch of posts that suggest this is possible. But I cannot figure out how to do it.

I don’t seem to be able to edit the column… just the elements in the column. But those elements (heading, button, and text) don’t have background options. So how do I accomplish this?

I solved this on my own.

I think BB would be a little more user-friendly if column settings did not disappear once content has been added to the column.

Hey Thomas,

The Column Settings should still be available even after adding modules inside it. Check the screenshot below for reference.

Are you running the latest version of the plugin? We’ve updated it so the Column Settings icon look the same before and after adding a module.
