Conflict with Event Espresso?

I’m setting up a site with Event Espresso for the first time, and I’ve noticed a weird phenomenom. When EE is active, then my BB Text Editor loses some of it’s options. For example, the Add Media button is gone, and the Visual and Text tabs disappear. When I deactivate EE, then those options come back.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

Hi Amy,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the BB and EE. Would it be possible for you to provide temp admin access to your site, so we can take a closer look, please.

Thanks,
Danny

Hello Amy and Danny,

This is Jonathan Wilson from Event Espresso (I also work with Hunter at HNH Marketing).

Just wanted to say we will help in any way that we can.

Here is the link to our Github repo for Event Espresso: https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core

We are open to collaboration on any issues you might find. You can submit a pull request and also post any issues there.

Thanks!

Thanks, Hunter. Do you have any idea why the text editor would have issues when EE is activated?

Hi Amy,

So we have identified the issue, if you add the following CSS, this will resolve your issue.

.fl-builder-rich-text-settings .wp-editor-tools {
    display: block;
}

@Hunter aka Jonathan. The Add Media, Visual and Text editor tabs are being hidden by the hide-if-no-js. It would appear that your Event Espresso plugin has another CSS for the hide-if-no-js class which WP uses. Since BB is a frontend Page Builder, this CSS gets loaded while building the page.

Thanks,
Danny

Thank you thank you thank you! That worked!

Have I mentioned how awesome you guys are?

Hi Amy,

No problem, happy that your issue is resolved.

Thanks,
Danny
