Contact form not working

Hi I’m having trouble with the contact form not working on our Contact Us page. The email to send to has been entered in correctly on the template, and it says it sends it - but I never receive it. I have tested a number of email addresses, and the same happens. Just wondering if I have to set up something else? my website is www.boomerangbbq.com.au

Hey Wendy,

The problem might be related with your server rather than the module. Our Contact Form module is pretty basic, nothing special done to it, and is only using the wp_mail() function.

We’ve another user having this kind of problem with whatever contact form plugin he’s using. Turns out the problem was with his server. Do you think you can get in touch with your hosting provider and see if they can help?

Thanks Ben I will check with bluehost. However, I have just checked another thing just now. When I put in a non gmail email address it works straightaway. When I put in a gmail address it doesn’t work? - even though I know these gmail addresses work fine elsewhere? Got any other suggestions.

Hi Wendy,

Can you try installing a Contact form plugin such as NinjaForms or Contact Form 7 and see if the issue happens when using one of those plugins, please.

Hi I have tried with Contact Form 7 - the same thing is happening - it’s working for email addresses other than gmail ones??? So do you think this is a hosting issue or some other thing. Thanks for your support

That’s most likely the case. Can you get in touch with your hosting company and see what they say?
