I’m trying to do a restaurant menu and would like each segment of the menu to be on a different text slide. I would like each slide activated by a specific menu button. For example when you click on Appetizers the appropriate text would slide into place. I have included a website that I found on the web that illustrates what I am trying to accomplish. Is this something that is achievable using the Beaver Plugin and Theme?
Also if you would please look at the above site how do they do the split background on their “about” page with the white text over the top of half brick and the other half white. Is that one image that is used as a background or is that two separate backgrounds with a text box layered over the top. I was not able to accomplish this …Thanks on this as Well!!
You could try our tabs module, but we don’t have complex animations built in like that unfortunately and you would probably have to do some code work to get it looking the way you want. I did some inspecting on that site and it looks like they are using a plugin called Liquid Slider for that menu piece so feel free to give that a shot if you like.
On the about page, that’s possible with BB! You’ll want to have a 1 column row layout with the row being set to full width. From there, apply a background photo to the row and a color to the column via the column settings. You can then drag out a heading and/or text module to do the rest! You can also adjust the row top/bottom padding to make the background photo taller. Hope that helps!
I just wanted to chime in here. Re the brick background, I believe the guys who did that site custom coded it. But you should still be able to achieve it using BB via Billy’s method above. You can just place the separator together with the background image and make sure to set the row’s background Repeat setting to none.
Personally, I don’t really know of any plugins that does what you need. You could try searching for one on the WP repo. Also, I’ll just leave this out for the community as someone might just jump in. You could also post the same question over to the BB FB Group or Slack Channel.
