create website on localhost or online?

Friends, I have one doubt,

I wonder In your opinion what is best: Create the site on localhost, then you are all approved by the client up via FTP or create the online site and the client go online following the changes?

I would like to create local host to then climb online but do not know quite what I should do to get a website done in localhost in the online environment …

Already is create online and accessing web standard settings and putting NOT ALLOW THE INDEX IN SEARCH ENGINES, google crawls the pages …

Anyway, what you achama better?

Hey Rafael,

This really is personal preference, but we see both ways often. If you need assistance going the local host route, I would recommend doing some good old google research. Anyway, I’ll leave this open in the event other users would like to comment on their preferences. Personally, we work on a dev server and move live from there.

Best,
Billy

Give Desktop Server a try. It’s a great way to develop a WordPress site locally. You can then easily easily export your local site to the live server.

Moving the site from local development to live is amazingly easy. It worked flawlessly for me with a Genesis/Dynamik/BB site.

I use WAMP on a Windows box, works great for me.
When I have a site ready to show a client I migrate it to a temporary domain, or a sub-directory in a domain.
