Customizing the Light box

Hi there, I am employing the light box feature for the first time and have a few questions about how it can be customized. I assume that BB uses the basic light box that is inherent in WordPress, they certainly look alike anyway. I would like for the light box view to also show the description text I have included in the image file. There does not seem to be any kind of control mechanism to turn this on or off. Is what I want to do even possible without a plug in? I would really rather avoid additional expense and complexity.

Hey Brett,

Thanks for posting! Unfortunately, that’s not possible with pure BB. You might need to use a 3rd party plugin or maybe a more robust gallery plugin. The only way to do this via BB would be to override our Gallery module or create a Custom module but that would involve the complexity part which you’re trying to avoid. Actually, there are a lot of free lightbox plugins out there. Try searching on the wp.org repo. Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you.
