I saved a module as a saved themer module (global). I made a mistake. I do not need that module to be saved as a themer module. What happens if I delete it in the themer saved modules section? Does it delete the original module or just the themer module? Is there another way of doing it?

Duplicate the global saved module in the layout, the duplicate will loose its relationship to the saved module.
Then you can delete the global saved module in admin.
I guess it will also remove its occurrence in the layout.
