Hi,
Running Beaver Builder Plugin behind Genesis and Dynamik Web Site builder locally using Desktop Server v 3.8.0 Pro version and Beaver Builder plugin will not update
Just hangs saying Updating … But does not update
I disabled Genesis and Dynamik installed and activated Beaver Builder Theme which I own Same result Beaver Builder Plugin will not update
Anyone else using BB Plugin locally using Desktop Server v 3.8.0 Pro?

Hey Darrell,
I purchased the Pro version of Desktop Server myself just a week or so ago, and it runs fine for me. Can’t imagine what it could be - They give pretty good support over at DesktopServer, maybe ask there.
Also when you say does not update - do you mean saving a change, or updating BB to a new version?
I’m running on Windows-7.

I usually get an error message in WP when updating BB plug-in in the Desktop Server environment. I just manually replace the bb-plugin file in the plugins/ folder.

I have been using it for many years now and i am not having any problems with that i have other problems when pushing a site live.

What problems when pushing a site live?
Have you asked for support over at Desktop Server?

Hey Darrell,

Sorry to say but it’s kinda hard to troubleshoot problems on local installs mainly because we can’t check it. Can you not manually delete the plugin and install the new one? Given it’s a local install that should be done pretty quickly. We’ve other users having problems with a different tool and I’ve advised them the same.

My environmonet is WP, Genesis, DWB, BB all running on DesktopServer Pro for local development. No issues at all since around 2 years.

What OS are you running Windows or Mac and if Windoz are you using a firewall?

Hi guys,

Whenever an update comes up for Beaver Builder plugin it will not update

They asked me to upload an archive to them which I have done
If and when they get back will post here also

Hi Darrell,
I’m using Macs with OS10 and no firewall during local development. We use DesktopServer with Wordpress - Genesis - Dynamik Website Builder - Beaver Builder quite a long time with no problems at all.

I am on W8.1 and wondered if it could be my firewall
Will wait for the Desktop Server guys to get back and report here
