disable native lightbox

Hi there - I’ve searched and seen some info on this on another thread but needed to ask anyway.

I need to use FooBox so that I can get social sharing for images in my lightbox. I’ve done everything I can do apart from dismantling code to disable the native BB lightbox. I’ve turned it off in Customize. I’ve turned it off in the gallery module. Nothing works.

This is REALLY important to my client.

Suggestions please?

thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I downloaded a free version of the FooBox plugin from the WP Repo and I can see there is an option to Disable Other Lightboxes under Advanced. Have you tried that option? If yes and you’re still having the same problem, I could have someone from our development team assist you with your issue. If you could also provide us a temporary login to your site via a private reply it would extremely help speed the process up.

Hey Chris,

I have already assigned someone from the development team to assist you.

Hey Chris,

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to disable the lightbox for the gallery module. However, as a workaround you could try to change the click action to photo link in the module settings to see if that will allow FooBox to do what it does. Let us know how it goes!

Best,
Billy

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried to change the click action to photo link earlier today and it didn’t work.

If I use NextGen gallery (or another gallery other than the WP gallery) with FooBox will that work? Just really need to figure this out.

thanks,
Chris

Hey Chris,

We noticed a FooBox setting that you may want to try as well under the General FooBox settings - Enable FooBox for all image links in your WordPress site. This will exclude any items that are already included above. If you enable that then the FooBox lightbox will override the Beaver Builder lightbox. Let me know how that goes, Chris!

On another note, NextGen does work as well. We have a few customers using that setup.

Best,
Billy

Oh. My. Goodness.

That’s the ONLY setting I didn’t change earlier and it totally worked!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Now FooBox working perfectly.

Really appreciate it!

Awesome, thanks for letting us know and happy we could help!
