I just noticed that when doing a Speedtest of a BB site that uses video background, when you have both an MP4 and a webM set, the page speed actually measures both, meaning that both are being downloaded. I guess there is no way for BB to know which browser is being used and to just serve up the better of the two formats? Downloading both adds lots of payload.
Thx.
A real browser would not load both, it would load whichever it supports. The tool you use is not a browser its just a dumb script that loads all urls on a page.
mp4 is supported by all browsers now, no need for a fallback "mp4" | Can I use... Support tables for HTML5, CSS3, etc

Did a little more research after I posted, and I concur. I removed the webM versions. It might be a good idea for BB to remove the option.
