Easiest Way to integrate BB Core Templates into new Template Library

Hi all,
I want to override the Core Templates in order to expand the choice of templates for my Clients.
However, once I override them, I start with absolutely zero templates. Is there way to import the BB Core Templates into the “Templates” Site (which overrides all others)?

That way, clients have access to the templates they are already used to (your core templates)

  • Get new templates from the ones I create in the future!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks & all the best,
Mattis

Hey Mattis,

I’ve already assigned someone from the team who can assist you further.

Ben

Hey Mattis,

If you choose to override the core templates, then yes, they would be unavailable and only your own templates would be available. The only way I could see getting the core templates in when you have core templates disabled would be to export them, disable core templates, and then import them so that they would be user templates. Exporting/Importing templates is done with the standard WordPress export/import tool btw. I believe that will work for what you are after, but give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

Best,
Billy

Hi Billy,
I tried exporting the Templates, but they only export Templates I already created, not the Core- or Content Templates you guys created, so I can’t import them as user templates.

My Network-Wide Settings are:
Enable Templates: All Templates aktivated
Enable Templates Admin: Enabled
Override Core Templates: Nothing set

Any Ideas on how I could actually get them to be exported so I can import them as User templates?

Thanks,
Mattis

Hey Mattis,

I believe the step and trick you are missing here is that you need to apply one of our templates to a page and then save it as a user template so that you can export it as a user template. Does that make sense? I haven’t tested this personally, but it should work!

Best,
Billy
