Editor Role does not see BB Editor Link on Front End

I have my Editors set to only see the Front End (they cannot access the back end dashboard area), but now they no longer see the Page Editor link that used to show in the admin bar.

Only Admin uses see the Page Builder link (that used to display after the NEW link/menu item.

Hey Chris,

Sounds like there may be something awry with the setup. What are you using to limit editors’ ability?

Best,
Billy

Hey Chris,

Just got your email. Let’s stick to the forums if possible as we don’t monitor our email for support. Can you please send me temp admin access to your site? You can use the private reply option below.

Best,
Billy

Actually, if you can send me both temp admin and a temp editor account, that would be great!

NOTE: when I deactivate the Adminize, the link does not come back so that tells me it’s something about how your code interacts with WP in adding the -li- element to the admin menu when the user is NOT an admin

Hey Chris,

I had to make your reply private to hide the admin access details. And it was breaking the layout of the site too because of the unclosed <li>'s it had. Anyway, I’m checking the site now.

Hey Chris,

I’d just like to know how you knew that the Editor users were no longer seeing the Page Builder link? The reason why the test account didn’t have the Page Builder link was because it doesn’t have editing capabilities to the page it was redirected to, http://healthyedgecoach.com/KIWitt/. I created a new page using the test account, making it the author of the page, and the Page Builder link was available. You can check http://healthyedgecoach.com/test/ using the test account and you’ll see the Page Builder link up the top. This would mean that all the users on the site, would have access to the page builder to each of their own pages, not other pages.

Hope this helps!

Ben

Neat, marking this as resolved then.
