I opted to use the universal Wordpress footer_widget area with the BB Theme rather than reproducing those across layouts. However, the menu items aren’t being output when using Wordpress’s default “Custom Menu” widget.
One thing that might be of help is telling you that Footer Layout option where “Menu” is assigned as the footer content isn’t firing correctly, either. Even when assigning manually with using the menu checkbox for Footer Menu.
Can you take a look or let me know if this is a common issue? Will reply privately with access info once someone responds.
Very strange. I wasn’t able to replicate this on a local install I have going with the latest versions of BB. I also don’t see errors or anything that I think would conflict, but something certainly is as it is working as it should on my install. Have you tried going the disabling all plugins route to see if there is perhaps a 3rd party conflict?
We’re going to try that now. We just wanted to make sure this wasn’t something that we were missing that was staring us right in the face. Will follow up with results on plugin deactivates.
Thanks Jim. Yes, I checked all of the usual suspects and didn’t see anything that could cause this so I am wondering if it is a plugin. Let me know what you find and we’ll go from there!
As feared, it was the one plugin that we can’t really do without.
Wordpress Event Ticketing made by a group called Tickera is the plugin that, from my very unscientific test, I’ve determined is causing the issue.
I’m putting in a ticket with them and I’ll let you know what they find. This isn’t an extremely popular plugin but I’m sure others could run into the same issue if I can figure out what action or filter is breaking things.
