Full width slider - white space issue

Hey guys!

I seem to be having a problem with the full width slider background (row background).

Occasionally (not all the time) it won’t load the image for the full height of the page. Instead of a background/cover size image I end up with white space at the bottom of the page.

As I’ve said, the problem appears to be intermittent, but occurs most frequently on the gallery page. Hopefully you can replicate it and we can sort it out!

Hey Jon,

I can recreate the issue if I pull up the dev tools on Chrome(F12), and refresh the page. I can’t, however, recreate it on my local dev nor on our dev site. Can you check if you can recreate the issue by doing the same thing? If so, can you disable all plugins except BB and see if that fixes it?

I can’t reliably recreate it that way. It seems to be hit and miss however I load it.

It happens on other pages as well, just not as often.

I can try disabling plugins, but the gallery page is using soliloquy so content may vanish.

It’s an odd one…

Hi Jon,

Like Ben, I am unable to recreate the issue. I refreshed your page almost 40 times and not once was there any white space.

Is it possible for you to create an identical page without soliloquy for your content and instead use another module. Then see if you can recreate the issue?

Apologies, I meant Envira gallery, not Soliloquy. Long day… I’ll try a private test page with a different gallery plugin and see if it’s still happening.

It occasionally happens with the other pages, as well, but seems more frequent on the gallery page, where it seems to happen quite often.

Odd that you can’t replicate it on your end…but thanks for trying!

I’ll get back to you if I can figure out exactly what the problem is…
