Using Genesis Featured Post widget on a BB page with “Show Post Title” enabled, the post title is not displaying and the post excerpt does not have any link to the article… problem persists across different sites using Magazine Pro theme (haven’t tried other themes but they should behave the same).
Known issue? any clues?

Does it work when used on a non BB page? Do you think you can share temp admin access to one site where this is happening so we can take a look?

Hi - thanks for following up. Post Titles do display when using Genesis Home Widget Areas for Genesis Featured Posts in lieu of adding the widget area through BB Page Editor.
While I appreciate the support, I really don’t want to deal with admin access at this time, sites are being aggressively renovated - so nothing is going to stay the same…
is this the only report of this issue? no other problems with Genesis and Featured posts widget?

You can try searching for the plugin name on the forums and check the results. I did and I can’t seem to find anything similar to this, or at least similar to what I understand the issue is. Try checking the link below and see if you can find one.

Thanks Ben - I was sort of hoping this was a known issue and wasn’t going to require troubleshooting… I’m going to see if other Genesis themes are affected on a fresh site and go from there.

I had deployed a little CSS to hide an unwanted element on particular pages and lo- and behold, it applied to a bit more than I realized.
