Genesis Responsive Slider not Loading

Hi all, I posted yesterday about adding Wow slider, but have since found the Genesis Responsive slider which I thought might be easier to add. When I try to add it by the Wordpress Widget module in BB it just hangs the page and never loads. Is this compatible with BB? I’d use the BB slider but can’t get it to be full width. If there is a way to do that, I’d love that bit of voodoo wizardry. Thanks.

Hey Ramona,

Which slider module are you using? Do you think you can share the URL of the page where the BB slider is so we can check? We have a few templates using full width sliders either via the Content Slider or Slideshow module.

Here you go: http://monagrace.net
I’ve tried taking out as much padding and margins as I can find. Of course that image is distorted.

Btw, this is your BB slider displaying now. I couldn’t get the Genesis to load.

I want one that loads posts.

Hey Ramona,

The row’s content is set to fixed width, it also has the default 20px padding. Set it to full width content, remove the default 20px padding, and it should go full width, although blurred like you said.

Thanks. Can you think of why the Genesis Responsive Slider that displays posts won’t load? The BB slider doesn’t display posts, does it? Thanks.

Hi Ramona,

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the Genesis Framework or their child themes. So I am unable to test the Genesis Responsive Slider myself. However, I did notice that you have W3 Total Cache enabled, this could well be causing the issue with the slider, not loading.

Can you try flushing the plugins cache, then disabling it and try and add the slider again. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, you’re more than welcome to provide temp admin access, so we can take a closer look.

Alternately, you could use the Post Slider module, which displays your posts in a slider.

Thanks,
Danny

Thanks Danny. Good eye! This is the first time I’ve had a client on iPage, so didn’t even think of that. iPage seems to be incredibly slow to me, but their support says they don’t see anything;)
I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks all. I finally went with Master Slider and that seems to work well.

No worries at all, Ramona! And glad you found one that suits your needs. Enjoy!
