I’m sorry if this question has been covered before, but I’m not finding a clearly similar issue when using your search.
When I place the ‘standard’ Facebook widget obtained from Facebook in either a text module, html module, or a text widget, I get just the blockquote instead of the full Facebook widget.
I tried “Easy Facebook Likebox” plugin, and that seems a bit buggy. Is there a nice clean way to do this? I’m using Genesis Extender with Dynamik and Dambuster. Here is my site: phlibraryfriends.org.
I also tried to make a shortcode out of the Facebook code with Extender’s custom section that creates shortcodes but I still just get a simple blockquote and title.
Sorry the page I’m working on isn’t published yet, but this is planned to be the new home page so it’s got to look good before it goes live.
Thanks for posting! Not really sure what you’re after though. Are you referring to the Facebook Page Plugin? I tried it on my local host and it works fine.
I tried both and it works fine. Were you using the new FB Page Plugin or the old LikeBox stuff? The latter’s deprecated already. The new one uses a new code so that could be the issue. Check below. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages
Ben, I think I discovered the issue. It appears that when a page is in draft status, the FB script that should appear right after the body tag isn’t being applied. I’m not sure why that’s the case, but after comparing published pages to the draft status page, this appears to be the case.
