Home page did not show up when I choose one of beaver template

Hi, I just bought Beaver and I am confused now. I just create a new Home page and I edited with beaver plugin, I chose one page template there but when I done and saved it. When I view my homepage there is nothing there. My new beaver template did not show up. Would you help and advised. Thanks so much.

Hey Coki,

It looks like this issue resides with your child theme. Even the text editor isn’t working for me so this isn’t Beaver Builder related. You may want to contact Genesis support or post your issue in their forums for someone to take a look at your child theme, specifically the front page being called in the Reading settings. The content area isn’t being called at all. Hope that helps!

Hi Billy Young,

How come you said the problem is from dynamik child theme, I use the same child theme as one of your moderator here (Mr.Colin) also using dynamik child theme in their video tutorial here. It is so strange why Mr.Colin can use Dynamik child but I can not. I am still need your solution and support and please don’t refer me back to dynamik child theme while you still have many options to help. Will you help me out? or can you ask some advices from Mr.Colin (Dynamik Beaver). I am still waiting your solution.

Our support forums are for issues related to the Beaver Builder theme or plugin. Unfortunately, this issue isn’t related to either, rather, an issue in your theme. We have several users using the same setup as you so I would assume someone would chime in at some point. You may want to do a quick forum search over at Dynamik for topics related to what you are experiencing as well. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Do you know what the problem I am experiencing so I have to ask to Cobalt Apps? Until now, I don’t understand why you don’t want to help me out here. As you know MR.Colin also using dynamik, I am not a tech guys I just a user. When you left me alone so i am stuck now. I don’t know how to use Beaver Builder, you are supposed to know as you are the expert. When you refer me to cobalt, what problem do I have with the child theme? what should I ask to them? what should I have to search at the forum? As I don’t know the problem you are talking about so I can not use Beaver Builder here. Will you help?

Hi Coki,

My apologies for the hassle. We’re not as skilled with Dynamik as some of our customers, otherwise we might be able to provide a solution quickly here. Let me give you some technical details on the issue that you can bring up with them…

It appears that your front page template (front-page.php) isn’t pulling in any content. This is true for the core WordPress editor as well as Beaver Builder. If the core editor isn’t working for your theme, Beaver Builder won’t work either as it hooks into that to display its content.

Typically, we would recommend using WordPress “the_content()” function within “the loop” to fix this issue, but I’m not sure if Dynamik has another way of doing things.

So, I would ask them what code you need to display content within your front-page.php file. Feel free to link them to this post as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Coki,

As Billy and Justin have mentioned, there would appear to be an issue with your Dynamik/Genesis set up as opposed to a problem with BB.

I am very experience with this combination (BB + Dynamik + Genesis) and have not had any issues in this regard. That said, I have put together a quick screencast that shows using the latest BB Pro, Dynamik and Genesis on a brand new WP 4.1 install to create a full width home page using one of the supplied BB Pro templates. If it doesn’t work as shown, there is something else afoot :slight_smile:

I just got the reply from Cobalt Apps. He said nothing problem with the dynamik child theme and it can be used with Beaver Builder.

I would like to thank to Mr.Lyle, thank you so much sir, you have a good heart want to help other people even though this is not your problem.

I have tried your advice Mr.Lyle and it works perfectly for me. I now can use my dynamik child theme with Beaver Builder.
