I am using the bold theme – The initial pic I have on the page origingally spanned the full screen – suddenly changed to allow margins even though there are no margins set. What happened?

Not really sure what you meant there. Can you share the URL of the site in question as well as screenshots to the issue so we can take a look and compare?
