How to display custom post type in a widget

I’ve created a CPT using Themer, CPTUI and ACF and I’m wanting to know how to display this in a widget? I’m using Generate Press as my theme.

Hi Eno,

I apologize, but I am not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean display the Post module in a WordPress widget?

Hi Danny. I had created a Custom Post Type but did not know how to display this in a widget as it only wanted to display the standard post types. I think I solved it by installing another plugin that displays CPTs, although it has not displayed all the custom fields but that I think is a configuration thing with ACF.

I guess you could drop a Posts module in a page, set it the way you need, save it and insert the saved item in a HTML widget with a BB shortcode, like explained in the knowledge base.

Save a module: https://kb.wpbeaverbuilder.com/article/90-save-a-row-column-or-module-for-reuse
Insert it with BB shortcode: https://kb.wpbeaverbuilder.com/article/192-use-shortcodes-in-your-layouts
…in a WordPress custom HTML widget: https://wptavern.com/wordpress-4-8-1-adds-a-dedicated-custom-html-widget

Yes I’ve tried that and it didn’t work. I thought this would be a common thing; to have a custom post type displayed in widget? Can’t find any videos of anyone doing it?

Maybe I’m going about this the wrong way. All I want is for the client to add some content to some ACF fields and then display the output of those fields in a widget in the footer? Any advice on where to start with that would be appreciated.
